About the Owners

The journey that built Pure Class Water Hauling.

Blake and Leanne Dannhaus met in Brenham, Texas in 2010. They knew right away they were soul mates. They instantly bonded over their passion for trucks and goal driven personalities were a perfect fit. They dated for a year and a half and Blake proposed to Leanne on Valentine’s Day of her senior year. Leanne of course said yes and with so much excitement for their future, started planning their wedding. In August of 2012, 6 months after graduation Blake and Leanne got married in Dripping Springs, Texas at Camp Lucy. Not knowing at the time that the Dripping Springs community would become their home and provide them with the ability to live out their dreams.

They lived in Brenham, Texas operating their over the road trucking company until 2015. They were successful in running two tractor trailers hauling any and everything agriculture related in Texas and surrounding states. They spent all of their spare time in their shop customizing their one ton trucks and building their 18 wheelers into their dream trucks. Starting and running a successful business at the young ages of 19 and 18, in 2015 they began to question if they grew up too fast. They decided to sell everything buy an RV and travel to some of the towns in Texas to see if they wanted to relocate and get “normal” jobs.

They ended up on a ranch in Junction, Texas and Blake worked as a ranch hand. Towards the end of 2016 they were both unhappy with their situation and God answered their prayers in a way, that at the time, they viewed as a terrible set back. A thunderstorm, that turned tornado, totaled their RV and truck leaving them homeless. With no choice but to relocate, Blake saw a sign that a rock quarry in Henly, Texas was hiring. He interviewed and was hired on a Thursday, they found a rental house that Thursday afternoon, had it rented by Friday using the last of their money, and he started at the quarry on Monday at a devastating pay cut. Blake quickly worked his way up in the company. Needing more income, Leanne began working in the office at the Quarry.

Still having a hard time making ends meet Leanne felt that she had the extra time to help change things. Leanne was very familiar with the beauty industry and she knew that Dripping Springs, Texas was the wedding capital. In her spare time she took the courses needed and became a certified makeup artist. She then opened a bridal makeup company, Swank Beauty. She built the business into a success being booked every weekend for weddings and a few days during the week for photo shoots and bridal trials. She was able to quit the quarry and worked part time at a local Dripping Springs salon.

During this time Blake was not content at the quarry. Being an entrepreneur he was ready to get back to working for himself, he missed the trucking industry immensely. In 2018 they finally had a little bit of money saved and he bought another over the road truck and went to hauling rock out of the very quarry they used to work at. Little did they know, that truck would change their lives being the answer to their prayers. Getting back into their passion of trucks and customizing trucks, they began to document their builds on social media. The truck he scrimped and scrounged to get a loan for became the infamous “Looney Tune” the internet viral purple and white 18 – wheeler. Blake and Leanne became known by their internet handles, Big Rig Blake and Big Rig Barbie.

With all the internet success it still seemed they couldn’t get ahead financially. They continued to work hard day in and day out. One day they finally got a phone call that gave them the financial push they needed to get ahead. A friend and local bulk water hauler was drowning in work and knew they had Looney Tune, their 18-wheeler. He said that if they could find a water tanker to hook up to, they would have months of work. Seven days a week 24/7. With wanting so strongly to do better for themselves, they decided to help and take the job. They worked team driving seven days a week as long as they could keep their eyes open, getting paid very well for the contract.

When the job was completed they spoke with their friend and he said that they should build some bobtail tankers. From that day forward Blake and Leanne deep dived into the bulk water hauling world. Building their own fleet from a rented tanker to now owning six Peterbilt bobtail tankers. Two 6,000 gallon tankers and four 2,000 gallon tankers. They were blessed to have the knowledge and skills to actually build their trucks and also build some for other companies in the area.

Between their social media presence and their bulk water hauling company, Blake and Leanne are now living their dreams. Getting to build custom one ton trucks, custom 18-wheelers, and drive to make a living. They have never been happier, thanking God everyday for the tornado that forced them to make a move. All Glory to GOD.

These guys have my back, every time! They are kind and professional and have the best prices. Even when I accidentally left the water on in the backyard, they came back immediately. This year, I was one of the lucky ones who got a free load for Thanksgiving, what a great gift! Thank you guys!
